Is it safe?

It is estimated that since 1996, when the manufacturer of Restylane launched its product, more than 10 million treatments have been performed in more than 70 countries around the world. Restylane is a biocompatible product that is biologically degraded in the body in a natural and safe way, and disappears from the body when it is completely absorbed. Allergic reactions or long-term side effects such as granuloma formation or infections are very rare.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are produced by a biotechnological process in laboratory conditions, in the form of a sterile transparent gel. The advantage of modern fillers is that they are not permanent, unlike old silicone fillers, and that they last longer than outdated collagen fillers. An additional advantage of hyaluronic fillers is that they do not need to be tested for allergies because they are not of animal origin, unlike collagen fillers that come from animal collagen.

Mode of action

With aging, the skin begins to lose hyaluronic acid, collagen, subcutaneous fat and elasticity. As a result, due to the force of gravity and the constant use of muscles, wrinkles form, the face loses its volume and the tired skin sags and sags. The main ingredient of the dermal fillers we use is hyaluronic acid, which we actually use to replace the hyaluronic acid that the body has previously lost. Gel fillers are injected through a very fine needle, followed by a gentle massage to ensure a smooth surface, and the results are immediate.

This hyaluronic acid binds to water and integrates with the surrounding collagen, restoring the face’s youthful appearance. The latest medical research has shown that the body naturally responds to hyaluronic acid injections, creating large amounts of collagen, which improves and prolongs the results of such treatments.

Is the treatment painful?

In addition to anesthetic cream and dental anesthetic block, the filler can also contain anesthetics. So the treatment is painless for most. The treatment lasts 5-15 minutes.

How long do the results last?

The duration of the results varies from patient to patient, but the effect of the treatment ranges from 12 to 24 months, although it is evident from our experience that the effect lasts longer if the treatments are regularly repeated. It has been shown that the longest-lasting results are when using volume fillers in the area of the cheeks, chin or temporal region.

It is not unusual that after several years of regular therapy, the patient does not need a new treatment for more than two years. In that case, only minor proofreading is required. It should be emphasized that we have many examples where the results in regions such as naso labial wrinkles last up to an incredible 10 years!

Does it look natural?

After the treatment, the patient looks completely natural, as the skin regains the elements it has lost over the years. Facial expressions remain the same, lips appear more sensual, the face regains volume and the skin looks youthful. These treatments are like art: the face is shaped like a sculpture, striving for classic beauty.

Side effects

Redness, swelling, bruising or tenderness at the injection site are very rare and short-lived side effects.

Significant long-term side effects are very rare, according to the latest research: 1 in 25,000 reactions are reported as hypersensitivity.

What to do after treatment and precautions

Recovery takes a relatively short time, depending on the place of application of the filler.
Refrain from alcohol, sauna, finesse or sunbathing for 24 hours after application.
Treat swelling and redness with ice packs and anti-swelling creams.
Do not use painkillers and anticoagulants (bruises) before the treatment.
Antihistamines can prevent swelling in those who have previously had such reactions.
